If you have never seen what an archeological site looks like, or you want to find out what are some of the most spectacular discoveries belonging to the millennial human history in Transylvania, we invite you in June, in the Grand Square of Sibiu, to a photo-documentary exhibition.
The 12 panels present photographic aspects of the archeological sites and, especially, the discoveries within these projects carried out in the last 10 years in the counties of Sibiu, Alba and Hunedoara.
Some of the discoveries are captured in situ, such as the double tomb (ca. 2nd millennium BC) or the burial tomb (second half of the 2nd century AD) and its funerary inventory.
Other discoveries are presented after the restoration, such as miniature mask and zoomorphic figurines (approx. 8th – 7th millennium BC), amulets (approx. 6th millennium BC), a miniature votive car (2nd century BC), silver monetary treasure (3rd – 1st century BC), etc.
The exhibition is part of the AFCN project of the same name, regarding fundamental aspects in the study of the first sedentary communities, which lived on the Romanian territory.
